We have just come out of a season of thankfulness, celebrating a long-standing tradition.  I could not help but be reminded of this next branch in the Tree of Life as we laid out the menu for our Thanksgiving meal and listed all the scrumptious food that would be prepared, not to mention finding ways of consuming the many leftovers.  My most favorite branch of all is ” See God’s Abundance”.  It’s a powerful sentence.  See God’s abundance.  A statement of truth.  It doesn’t say, “See if there is an abundance.”  It states to see it.  It’s there, recognize it.  Know that your Abba has absolutely enough to care for you.  Trust me when I say that I know the stress of appearing to not have enough, and I know the reality of His provision and blessings beyond.  There are so many  promises in His word that speak of His abundance.  Promises we can stand on and truly be anxious for nothing!  Here are just a few.

Mathew 7:9-11

“Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?  Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?  If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!”

Isaiah 58:11

The LORD will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame.  You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.  (I encourage you to read surrounding verses, great stuff!)

Philippians 4:19

And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

James 1:5

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Know, dear ones, how much your Father desires to give you good things!  Live in His abundance.
